This song really came to me when my heart was in a desperate & dark place. I was mad at God, and couldn’t figure out why things just weren’t working out, no matter how much I tried to do what He wanted. Was I just not good enough? Why does everybody else seem like they know what to do? Was it me? Then, when I started to sing this Chorus as I was driving around in my car at work, I literally pulled over into a park and wrote the rest of the song from my heart (with no guitar) in about 5 minutes…and it has stayed the same ever since. Now, whenever hard times come up, or there is an area of my life that is completely new to me, and I just don’t know what to do…this song ALWAYS comes up!
